ToolProof terms of use
ToolProof, by Jonathan Senior. Last updated 16 October 2026.
ToolProof is a record of your own tools. By using it you agree to what follows.
Your records, your call
ToolProof keeps what you enter. Warranty end dates are worked out from the purchase date and length you give it; the manufacturer’s and retailer’s own terms decide what is actually covered. Test and tag intervals are reminders only: your workplace and its rules decide what is required.
Reading photos
Text read off labels and receipts can be wrong. ToolProof always shows what it read for you to check before it is used.
Your data
Your records live on your device. Removing the app removes them. Keeping iCloud backup switched on, and saving a full backup now and then, is the way to make sure nothing is lost.
Pro
Pro is available as a monthly subscription or as a one-off lifetime purchase, both tied to your Apple ID. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the month, and is managed in your App Store account settings. If Pro ends, your first 5 tools stay fully usable, the rest are locked (never deleted) until Pro is back, and everything can always be exported. Refunds are handled by Apple under their own terms.
Liability
ToolProof is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for any loss arising from its use. Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
